Mr. Ros worked as Manager for the Opportunities for the Majority (OM) Sector Office at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) from 2008 to 2016, with responsibility for promoting and coordinating activities corresponding to the OM initiative. Before joining the Bank, he was the Global Manager for Markets and Sustainable Enterprise at the World Resources Institute (WRI). He directed the Sustainable Enterprise Program and participated as a member of the Executive Management Team. He also led WRI’s Sustainable Growth in Emerging Economies team, which engages the private sector in key economies such as Brazil, China, Mexico, Indonesia and India. He served as an advisor to the Dupont Global Vice-President for Emerging Markets Growth & Latin America Presidency. In this capacity, he provided strategic advice on how to meet the needs of low-income markets in Latin America.
He has served as a member of the strategic board for VCIII/Stratus Investment Fund. He also served as a member of IFC’s advisory panel under the Sustainable Finance Initiative and the Latin America UNEP-Financial Initiative Advisory Group. Prior to working at WRI, Mr. Ros was the Director for the National Environmental Fund at the Ministry of Environment in Brazil, where he funded more than 100 projects, including those with local communities and indigenous people in the Amazon region.
Mr. Ros has a B.S. in Economics, a post-graduate degree in Latin American Economics, and M.Sc. in International Relations/ Environmental Economics from the University of Brasilia, Brazil.

Shawn Sullivan joined Airbnb in 2016 as the public policy lead for Central America and the Caribbean. He represents the company’s interests before governments, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders. Prior to joining Airbnb, Sullivan worked as an international government relations consultant based in Washington D.C. and as the Latin America regional director for an international non-profit organization. He spent more than a decade serving as an American diplomat in Latin America, Africa and the Balkans.
Sullivan holds an MA from the University of New Mexico and a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Ivo Correa is the Policy and Communications Director for Latin America at Uber. Before joining Uber, he was the General Counsel at the Executive Office of the President in Brazil. Prior to that, he was Head of Public Policy for Google in Brazil and occupied several relevant positions at the Brazilian government. Ivo holds a Law Degree from the University of São Paulo and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.

Diego Molano is an international consultant on Digital Transformation of Companies and Governments. He is a senior advisor to McKinsey & Co, as well as to the Inter-American Development Bank. He was the Minister of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) of Colombia from 2010 to 2015. He has transformed his Country with his policy plan “Vive Digital”, which aims to reduce poverty and create jobs using technology. In the last four years, Colombia has dramatically expanded Internet coverage in low-income segments and rural areas. 4G-LTE, Fiber optics and high-speed networks are being expanded to all municipalities, even those in the middle of the Amazon jungle.
Mr. Molano has a long career in the technology industry, including high level executive positions in multinational companies such as BellSouth (now AT&T) in the US and Telefonica in Spain. His leadership and expertise in innovation policies have been recognized worldwide by major organization such as the Mobile World Congress, the United Nations, the Organization of American States and publications such as The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He is a regular speaker at international venues such as the World Economic Forum. Mr. Molano is an Electronics Engineer and economist from the Xavier University in Colombia and holds an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.

Alexander Mora was appointed Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica on May 8 2014. As Foreign Trade Minister, Mr. Mora oversees Costa Rica´s foreign trade and investment portfolios, as well as the relationship with multilateral organizations like the WTO, OECD, SIECA, among others.
Mr. Mora has extensive experience in trade, banking and digital technologies. Firstly, as a successful entrepreneur in the digital technologies, telecommunications and corporate services areas, with over 25 years of experience. Secondly, as representative of Costa Rica to the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development, as member of the Foreign Trade Advisory Council, the National Commission on Information Technologies and Communication and the National Commission on Competitiveness. Also as President and Vice-President of the Costa Rican Chamber and Latin American Federation of Information and Communication Technologies, the Costa Rican Chamber of Exporters and as President and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of several banks, insurance brokers and investment management funds.
Mr. Mora has a degree in Economics and holds an MBA in Finance and Banking from the University of Costa Rica.

Scott is a visionary technologist who has always worked at the forefront of the computer industry. From his start, he was wiring up TTL chips, wire-wrapping prototype boards, and writing assembly code. Prior to the explosion of the Internet Scott worked with early Local Area Network technologies and then progressed “up the stack” and moved into large scale Corporate networks while working for Novell, and then into Internet applications and services. Before the Wi-Fi standards were finalized, Scott was developing applications for wireless networking, and co-founded a wireless internet company in the late 1990’s. At this same time, and into the early 2000’s, he was doing research into wearable computers and head-mounted displays. Over the last decade and a half, he has been operating his mercenary contract development company HumanXtensions creating Business Process Automation solutions for a broad range of clients. Scott is an accomplished programmer and systems architect, and has worked as CTO at numerous start-up companies assisting them in creating powerful technology platforms. In 2010, with the evolution and advancements in micro-controllers, and semiconductor technologies Scott started to experiment again in the lower level hardware world. Since 2013 Scott has been working on Wovyn, a set of technologies designed to revolutionize the Internet of Things by bringing proven patterns of connectivity to the sensors, control systems, and enterprise applications.

Isabel is a Trade and Investment specialist at the IDB since 2012. She currently coordinates the operational agenda of the Trade and Investment Unit for the Andean region. In this role, she leads various regional and national programs in the areas of trade facilitation, export promotion, and investment attraction. Isabel actively participates in the IDB’s efforts to support the Pacific Alliance in trade and integration issues and leads the trade and gender initiative, which seeks to support women-owned enterprises in their internationalization process. Isabel was admitted as a Colombian lawyer in 2008 and before joining the IDB she worked for the law firm Muñoz Tamayo y Asociados on commercial law issues. Mariana is considered one of the most innovative people in Peru under 35, according to the MIT. Before becoming a social entrepreneur, Mariana worked for organizations such as TechnoServe and the Organization of American States on social development projects in El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Peru and Kenya. From 2001 to 2007, Gonzalo served as Senior Adviser on International Affairs, Undersecretary of Telecommunications of Chile. Shippify is solving complex logistics for small entrepreneurs and big retailers delivering appliances. The company just raised 1M in seed funding to expand to the whole Latin America region.

Carlos Pallotti is the Undersecretary of Technology Services and Products for Argentina’s Ministry of Production in Buenos Aires. Pallotti is one of the most widely known and respected leaders in helping build the global export of IT services from Argentina In the private sector, he has also been founded and served as the CEO of several companies in the software and IT sector in addition to serving as a member of the nation’s Chamber of Commerce. In 2007, he received “Gold Sadosky Award” given out annually to the business man of the year in Argentina’s IT sector. He is an expert in international law, public policies, international negotiations, and information technology.

Tutor:
Manjit Singh was named senior vice president and chief information officer of The Clorox Company in November 2014 and joined the Clorox Executive Committee in August 2016. In this role, he is responsible for Clorox’s information technology organization and directing the company’s strategic technology initiatives.

Prior to assuming this position, Singh led the industry solutions group at Box Inc., responsible for aligning strategies with key customers across different industries. He also served as CIO for Las Vegas Sands and Chiquita Brand International as well as regional CIO for Gillette in Singapore. Early in his career, he worked for Procter & Gamble, where he pioneered the company’s digital marketing footprint and set up early e-commerce capabilities.

He has been honored as an InformationWeek Top 50 Global CIO, InformationWeek Top Innovator and Influencer, ComputerWorld Premiere 100 Leader, Consumer Goods Technology Magazine Visionary, and CIO 100 award winner.

Singh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a Master of Science degree in computer science from Indiana University.

Tutor:
Mr. Schwarz has spent the last 10 years in the technology business. He was a Senior Vice President at Hewlett Packard where he managed the $3 Billion ITO (Information Technology Outsourcing) Business and was responsible for starting the company’s BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Organization from scratch. As a Senior Vice President at Oracle, he was hired to turn-around the failing Oracle On Demand business unit, which he accomplished and transformed into a thriving commercial enterprise.
Prior to becoming an executive in the Technology Business, Mr. Schwarz was a Senior Partner at Deloitte Consulting where he held several leadership positions. In his 29 years with Deloitte, he was responsible for transforming advisory services into product oriented businesses. He led the firm’s Corporate Finance Department where he specialized in leveraged buyout transactions. He created and led the firm’s Global Outsourcing Practice, specializing in ITO outsourcing of ERP applications. Mr. Schwarz served on Deloitte Consulting’s Global Operations Committee. Additionally, he set up Deloitte’s offshore operations and was Chairman of Deloitte India Private Ltd.
