The 6th Latin American and Caribbean Outsourcing and Offshoring Summit: Outsource2LAC 2017 will be held in San Jose, Costa Rica, on March 15-16, 2017. The event is being co-organized by the Inter-American Development Bank, and Costa Rica’s Trade Promotion Agency (Procomer).
Following five years of successful meetings, Outsource2LAC has become the most prominent Outsourcing and Offshoring forum in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), offering participants the opportunity to learn about current trends in the global outsourcing industry and to expand their businesses worldwide through B2B meetings. More than 500 service companies from around the globe are expected to attend the 2017 Summit, including leading companies from Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Europe, and North America; Delegates from Trade and Investment Promotion Organizations from more than 20 Latin American and Caribbean countries; among other organizations.
GLOBAL SERVICES SECTOR
The global services sector has developed rapidly over the past two decades and have experienced a bigger expansion than goods’ exports. New information technologies and the increasing relocation of international production has brought services trade, and specifically outsourced professional and business services, to start a path of accelerated growth.
OFFSHORING AND BUSINESS FORUM
In the technology and business forum, there will be discussions on best practices and key aspects that companies take into account when exporting services, as well as the alternatives found in the Latin American market (benefits and risks), and the recent adoption of those models that are breaking paradigms around the world.
OBJECTIVES AND OPPORTUNITIES
The objective of the forum is to provide an opportunity for participants to exchange the latest trends in the global services sector and to identify business and investment opportunities for SMEs in Latin America and the Caribbean. More than 600 companies from the service sector, including representatives of large companies from Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and North America will participate in the forum.
